Which vehicles can we service?
MAX1 has sites at Dalshraun 5, Bíldshöfði 5a and Jafnasel 6.
Facilities vary from site to site. The size, gross vehicle weight and type of vehicle determine which site can take it.
Cars and SUVs
We can service cars and SUVs at every MAX1 site:
- Dalshraun 5.
- Bíldshöfði 5a.
- Jafnasel 6.
Light vans and pick-ups
We can service vans and pick-ups with a gross vehicle weight of up to 3,500 kg at every MAX1 site:
- Dalshraun 5.
- Bíldshöfði 5a.
- Jafnasel 6.
Medium-weight vans and pick-ups
Vans and pick-ups with a gross vehicle weight over 3,500 kg and up to 5,000 kg can only be serviced at MAX1 Jafnasel 6.
Motorhomes and minibuses
Motorhomes and buses for 10–19 passengers can only be serviced at MAX1 Jafnasel 6.
Motorhomes and minibuses can be heavy, long vehicles. Their bodywork may also sit low, with a variety of equipment mounted underneath, so a standard vehicle lift cannot always be used to service them.
Jafnasel 6 has an inspection pit that is better suited to servicing many of these vehicles.
Vehicles and equipment MAX1 does not service
MAX1 does not provide tyre or any other services for:
- Folding campers.
- Trailer tents.
- Trailers.
- Semi-trailers.
- Motorcycles.
- Scooters.
- Mopeds.
- Bicycles.

A vehicle's weight alone does not always tell us whether we can take it. Length, width, height, wheelbase, bodywork and equipment underneath the vehicle can all make a difference.
So please give us the vehicle's registration number and model when you book. We can then confirm whether we can service it and which site is the right one.
