We aim to give our customers outstanding service in every area, so that the cars your household and business rely on stay in top condition. Every MAX1 workshop is a member of BGS, the Icelandic Federation of Motor Trades, and holds its quality certification.
MAX1 Bílavaktin offers a wide range of car services. You can buy new tyres and have a tyre change, get an oil service, replace your car battery, have your brakes repaired or your shock absorbers replaced. We also take care of small jobs such as car bulbs and bulb replacement and wiper blades – and of course we top up your screenwash. Our minor repairs cover other odd jobs too, such as replacing batteries in key fobs, freeing up frozen locks and fitting mudflaps, to name just a few. For larger repairs, MAX1 recommends the Vélaland garage.
Affordable parts keep the cost of servicing down
When you use MAX1 Bílavaktin for your car service, MAX1 sources affordable parts for the job while making sure they are of the right quality and come with a warranty. MAX1 works with many partners. Our tyres come from the Finnish tyre manufacturer Nokian, our oils from Olís, our batteries from Exide and our wiper blades from Trico. Other parts come either directly from abroad, from car dealerships or from various Icelandic suppliers such as Poulsen, Stilling, AB Varahlutir, Bílanaust and others. If you would rather supply the parts yourself, that is absolutely fine. The choice is yours – the service is ours.
Fast, reliable car service for over two decades
MAX1 Bílavaktin was founded on 1 November 2000, and the company has grown steadily over the nearly two decades we have been providing drivers with affordable, fast car servicing.
The name MAX1 comes from our goal of finishing each job within an hour of starting work.
Our pricing policy means you always know what a repair will cost before we begin, barring any surprises.
MAX1 employs well-trained, highly experienced staff, so your car is in quick and safe hands with us. Book a time for your car service at MAX1 Bílavaktin. You are welcome to drop in, but customers with a booking are served first.
During the peak tyre-change seasons, from 15 April to 15 May and throughout November, it is important to book ahead, as we are often fully booked and unable to take drop-in customers.
