Batteries for car keys and fobs
Car key batteries are available at all MAX1 Bílavaktin workshops in the capital area. If your car remote or remote central locking stops working, the usual cause is a dead battery. Bring your key fob in and we will check whether the battery has gone. If it has, we will fit a new one in your key quickly and reliably – we stock remote batteries for every make of car.
How much does it cost to replace a car key battery?
We do not charge for the labour of changing the battery, only for the battery itself. For most keys, a battery costs between 990 kr. and 2.490 kr.
Do I need to book a time at the workshop to have the battery replaced?
No – our staff can do it on the spot without a booking. Just drop by.
